Depends…...: Most women think any vaginal discharge is a yeast infection. Most are actually not a yeast infection. There are a lot of other things that cause vaginal discharge, including bacterial vaginosis or even a normal fluctuation in hormones. If you try a yeast infection treatment and there is no relief of symptoms in a few days, then see your doctor for an accurate diagnosis.

Resistant Yeast: Symptoms normally improved quickly (within a day or so) after treatment with the right anti-fungal medicine. About 15% of the time, the yeast will be resistant and require a different medicine.
