Possible/ not usual: It is possible to experience dizziness when you have a sinus infection or acute sinusitis. The combination of nasal congestion, sinus pressure, fever, headache, malaise and poor oral intake during an acute infection can conspire to making you dizzy.

Not really: There is no mechanism by which inflammation in the sinuses can affect the inner ear, which is the source of dizziness. However, it is not uncommon for some people to report a sensation of dizziness along with a sinus infection. If severe, particularly if the room spinning leads to nausea or vomiting, you should be evaluated by your doctor.
