No: Morphine is not normally administered in a dental setting. Tooth extraction pain is not that severe.

Not recommended: For moderate pain, Motrin and Tylenol (acetaminophen) are recommended. For severe pain the prescribed medication (Vicodin) is indicated for short term pain control. Don't try to tough it out and call your surgeon today.
