Teeth whitening: Baking soda is abrasive, lemon is acidic. The combination may lighten the teeth by removing superficial stains, however, long term use will cause loss of the outer layer of the tooth ( enamel) which will make the teeth darker, as the underlying structure ( dentin) is exposed.
