Pain with urination: Dysuria is usually caused by infection (urinary tract infection) but can be the result of kidney stones, bladder spasms, stds. It is usually caused by inflammation of the urinary tract or lining of the urinary tract which is irritated by urine flowing across it resulting in pain.

Infection: Usually in young females this is caused by an infection. Bladder infections are very common.
