DIFFERENT: When you arrive at the right dose, you'll be more able to pay attention, etc. This sould be significantly different from usual you should see a difference in less than an hour. If there is no change reom your usual, the dose should be raised until youget a positive result or until there are noticible difficult side effects. One dose (strength) does not fit all.

Benefit on day 1: The effect of Ritalin (methylphenidate) begins 30 to 45 minutes after taking the first dose. The maximum effect occurs on the day you take the medication. It does not build up over time. If you do not achieve a satisfactory response on the first day, speak to your doctor about an adjustment to individualize the dose for you.
