Yes-but no tx needed: The latest c diff test that uses "pcr" (polymerase chain reaction) technology is 98-99% accurate. The test result may be reliable,
but, it's important that a skilled clinician examine and talk to the pt. Using their clinical judgement, if a pt has no diarrhea, high white blood cell count, and the test result is positive. You do not need therapy. Talk to the doctor re: specifics of your case.
