Diagnosis: The diagnosis of pms and pmdd (premenstrual dysphoric disorder) are often accompanied by other mood altering conditions. Depression, stress, anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder and substance abuse to mention a few. Blood test are often not helpful , other than ruling out thyroid disease. A menstrual/symptoms calendar for a few cycles will establish the diagnosis. Treatment is available.

Self conscious: You are the only one aware of the smell most of the time unless you are undressed and exposed. Our brain have a funny way to increase our awareness to those things that bother and preoccupy us. See your doctor. Commonly, bacterial vaginosis is the culprit . Rarely, a foreign body such as a forgotten tampon may be the cause.

Loss of periods is common to conditions of extreme weight gain or loss. Unexplained weight loss should be evaluated by your physician asap !
