A member asked:

Can 'vaping' (e-cigerettes) with nicotine in a propylene glycol solution cause elevated liver enzymes. not sure if nicotine has an effect on liver? ty

No: Nicotine has no adverse effect upon the liver unless you had a major overdose which only happens with the administration of large doses of nicotine. These doses cannot be met by smoking or vaping. Propylene glycol won't cause problems either. I would worry about chronic lung damage and nicotine addiction. If your liver enzymes are elevated, your doctor needs to find out the reason.
