Yes: You can start the birth control pill at any time. It may be reasonable for some women to start the pill at the beginning of the menstrual cycle, but any time is acceptible. If the pill is started at any time other than the beginning of the cycle, you should use some other from of birth control for two weeks. After two weeks you will be protected.
