It may not stop: Spotting is a common, unwanted side effect of nexplanon. Sometimes taking 500mg of vit c twice a day for five days can help with bleeding. Or you can try over-the-counter Naproxen (aleve) 2 - 1/2 pills twice a day for 5 days. Bleeding is more common with progestin-only birth control methods. Estrogen helps to stabilize uterine lining leading to less spotting and breakthrough bleeding.
