Not unusual: Irregular bleeding is common with depo, but occasionally due to pregnancy or other gyn problems. Please see your physician.

Depo and menses: The Depo-Provera shot makes the lining thin. If you missed the shot, it may have allowed more buildup of the lining and the heavy bleeding now is related to shedding all the thicker lining.If you aren't having any other symptoms, you shouldn't worry. However, i would monitor your cycles and tell your doctor if it persists.
