Adult ADD: The first thing to do is get an actual diagnosis. This requires an evaluation involving an exam, lab testing to rule out other causes of your symptoms and perhaps some questionnaires. You may be referred to a psychologist or psychiatrist to confirm the diagnosis and treatment or for treatment. Your primary doctor may feel comfortable enough treating you, there are many options. So start there.
