Unknown: I do not know why your dentist is offering you an "enhanced" restoration. In which way is the restoration "enhanced"? This may be due to your insurance coverage... Let their office explain in detail what the differences are. Then you decide.

Probably: The quality of the crown. Many insurance companies reimbursement allowances are so pathetic and outdated (from the 60's) that the dentist is compelled to find a "cheap" lab to fabricate the crown. A better fabricated crown using better metals and ceramics would cost more. At the end of the day - you get what you pay for. Sadly insurance companies are not interested in quality or what's best fo.

Material, esthetic: Crown is crown but could made of different material and add feature on it. If you pay for a car, you should know what kind of car and features you are getting. You should get what you pay for.
