A member asked:

Is it worth seeing the doctor about facial hair if it's been bothering you?

Go for it: If you're a woman, it's an important thing to discuss with your physician -- especially if your periods aren't regular, it warns of serious illness. If you simply want to be rid of the hair, laser or electrolysis is available. If you're a man, how much or little beard you have is genetic and your physician can do little here if you're otherwise normally masculinized; beard removal's an option.

Yes: Check for hormone abnormality such as polycystic ovary (PCOS). Consider laser. Shaving does NOT make hair grow thicker or faster! OK to pluck. OK to bleach.
