Yeast infections: When you take antibiotics (especially when you take more than 1 or take repeated courses), a yeast infection becomes a likely event. You can treat it yourself with over-the-counter creams like Monistat or clotrimazole. There are pills like Diflucan (fluconazole) that will do the job, but you will need a doctor's prescription for this. It would be a reasonable medication to use in this situation.
