Yes it will heal: Yes it will heal on its own. No need for stitches. The tongue has amazing healing potential.

It will heal.: The tongue is very vascular which helps with healing. Sometimes from the trauma, it may result in a fibroma which will need to be removed, but is not a big deal.

Should heal: Tongue has rich blood suppy that usually help heal by itself most of the time..If it doesn't heal for few weeks after injury should surely get it checked...
