Depends which: Chemical peels work at different depths and have different effects. Day of peel you should avoid sun. Day after you need sunscreen or sunblock. A good recovery cream with Hydrocortisone and a moisturizer. Do not pick at the peeling skin!

Peel depth?: Most chemical peels done at spas and medspas tend to be superficial and need to be performed in a series to get the best corrective results. It's best to follow the post treatment protocol discussed and given to you by the treating facility. Often this will include specific regimen for up to 7 days post peel followed by return to your regular skin care regimen thereafter. Daily sunscreen is a must
