Why do i constantly get the hiccups? mostly when i eat. i'm 48 yrs old & get them almost daily

Stimulation of GI: Hiccups can be triggered with stimulation of the esophagus or the diaphragm. If it is happening when you eat it sounds like spasm of the esophagus are the level of the diaphragm. Suggest trying Famotidine or Pepcid (famotidine) 20 mg twice a day and if not helping within a couple weeks, see your physician.
