Stronger!: Stage four cancer pains can be very significant. That much Ibuprofen can cause a lot of gastrointestinal upset. I would highly suggest seeing a physician about getting stronger pain medications that might be less risky than that much ibuprofen.

Yes: Stage 4 cancer suggests widespread metastasizes and pain associated with it can be severe and unrelenting. She should discuss more aggressive pain management with her physician or referral to a pain management specialist if her doctor can not/will not adequately treat her pain. There is no reason she can not be made more comfortae.
