Both possible causes: Chest pain can be due to numerous causes. Yes, RA can rarely causes chest pain because of involvement of the heart. This type of involvement includes inflammation of the heart muscle, the membrane covering the heart or the walls of the coronary arteries. It is also cause it because certain joints in the chest wall are inflamed. Of course, stress is also a possible cause. Have the pain evaluated.
