Yes: The frequency of heart defects including a hole between the upper and or lower heart chamber is increased among those with fetal alcohol exposure. More intense exposure during the first weeks of pregnancy would be more likely to effect heart formation. These defects can also occur without alcohol exposure during pregnancy.
