Depends: A rash from scraping of the skin on a rough surface can be very painful. Loosing time from work depends on how deep the lacerations (cuts) are and if they are infected. In addition, if the damage to the skin was more severe, needing repair surgery and extensive dressings, it may keep you from working, depending what your job may be.
