Constipation Causes: Causes of constipation can vary from benign causes such as consuming foods high in fat/sugar and lack of fiber and water to more serious causes ie colon cancer. An increase in alcohol and caffeine can cause both constipation and acid reflux. You need to follow up with your physician for an EGD and Colonoscopy where your doctor will evaluate the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract. Best of Luck!
