Not to my knowledge: I haven't heard of this treatment. If it's a diaper rash, you may need a prescribed medicine to clear it up. If the baby was born with a rash, it could be something benign (e.g., erythema toxicum - google it) or something serious, such as a herpes rash. The best thing to do is have the baby seen by his doctor for the proper diagnosis and treatment.
