A member asked:

Is it possible for you to take an allegra (fexofenadine) in the morning then a claritan d at night?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, but why?: Claritin (loratadine) d contains the decongestant pseudoephedrine, which can interfere with sleep. Allegra and Claritin (loratadine) are both antihistamines. Allegra is typically taken twice a day, while Claritin (loratadine) is taken once a day. These medicines are considered to be generally quite safe. There is probably no harm in combining them, but it would seem to make better sense to chose just one or the other.
