Depends on the need: A ct can be used in pregnancy when absolutely necessary and when other options are not appropriate. A ct scan has a higher level of radiation exposure than other imaging methods so it is not the first choice. Mri, sonograms and even x-ray would be chosen first. In some medical conditions a ct is the best option in spite of the exposure. Make sure you discuss the reason for the ct scan with doc.
