Mole: Yes it is possible to get a 'mole'. If it is a new pigmented spot or a raised mole see your dentist now as it can be a more serious condition. If it is not new see your dentist as well to get a diagnosis (just pigment or we need to biopsy).

Any growth: Or unusual lesion, if not completely gone within two weeks, warrants it being seen for a definitive diagnosis. Sometimes we know what it is just with a visual examination, while more often we will do a biopsy just to be sure. It's important to have is looked at regardless!
