Can you take alcohol with cephtin?

Dr. Brian Lynch
Family Medicine 40 years experience
Cephtin/Alcohol: Not a good idea to drink while on antibiotics. The general problem is that alcohol interferes with the blood level of the drug. So the drug might not be as effective. If one is a heavy drinker there are other considerations such as liver problems. One can have side effects such as nausea and vomiting.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.
