Night guard: There is no reason to expect a night guard to erode or damage enamel. One purpose for wearing a nightguard is to protect enamal from damage. If you are having a problem with the nightguard, return to your dentist to have it checked, and adjusted if needed.

No: While store-bought night guards are temporary at best, professionally made night guards are beneficial for most people if made ; used properly will not damage your teeth. Your dentist should evaluate your case specifically because there are many variables. Bring your night guard to your exam/cleaning appointments to make sure it is holding up and clean (the way your dentist made it).

Tooth Erosion: A night guard will not erode tooth enamel at all. Period. On the contrary it will prevent and protect tooth enamel erosion due to grinding and clenching.
