Possibly: Anxiety affects the functioning of the body, and can 'throw off' your normal body rhythm. During periods of high stress, your body can 'shut down, ' so to speak, as it focuses all of it's energy on the task at hand. From a biological point of view, there may be chemical changes that occur in your body when you are highly stressed, which in turn affect hormone production, and thus your period.
