NO: There is no actual cure for essential tremor (et) but there are several good medications and a surgical option. The surgical option is very effective in 80% of patients. It is called deep brain stimulation (dbs). It is like a pacemaker of the brain where an electrode stimulates the deep brain and improves the et.
