Will an ear infection cause a toothache?

Hard to say: The nerve that controls ear drum pain is a branch of the nerve supplying the teeth on the same side. There can be crossover pain where a tooth problem would cause ear pain and the opposite could also be true.

It definitely can: A variety of conditions can cause an earache and toothache, and the two symptoms are often related. In the case of a toothache, you can have referred pain to the ear and vice versa. See your dentist first to rule out tooth pain.

NO, but: No, but a tooth infection can cause ear pain. See DDS for ear pain. If tooth ok, see ENT doc.
