Please tell me, could a cat give you impetigo?

Unlikely: Impetigo is caused by the germs on your own skin, usually staph or strep. The skin is normally a protective barrier, but if there is a small cut or scratch, these skin germs can enter and start the infection. So, don't blame the cat. :).
