Good control: If you blood pressure is under good control you are a candidate for breast augmentation. I would be sure to have a anesthesiologist perform your anesthesia so they can treat you blood pressure if it is required.

Yes if...: Patients with a variety of medical problems can safely undergo breast augmentation, assuming the medical conditions are well controlled. Discuss your goals/plans with your physicians and make sure your blood pressure is under “tight" control prior to proceeding. Best wishes.

Control is Key: Many disease processes can cause problems with surgery, and high blood pressure is one of them. Acute high blood pressure can increase the risk of bleeding, and has been associated with heart disease and strokes. Breast Augmentation can be done, with the proper precautions and good control. Your plastic surgeon may have you see your doc for optimal control, and an EKG may be requested.
