A member asked:

What creatnine level are you placed on dialysis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It's all relative.: A rising creatinine is a sign that your kidneys are failing. Dialysis is a type of kidney replacement therapy which needs to be started when you and your doctor decide that the time is right. This may be due to your just feeling lousy or due to specific medical threats to your health--high potassium, heart failure, etc. Once your creatinine is over 2, you need to see a nephrologist.
