Different viruses: Having German measles, which is milder, gives you lifelong immunity only to German Measles. If you were never vaccinated (MMR) which would be quite odd at your age, you could get the more serious red measles. Try to clarify with your parents whether you ever got the MMR. it was available when you were little.
