Varies: The hydrocodone product is ok to take right up to surgery with the exception that most anesthesiologists prefer a patient not to take anything by mouth approx 6 hours before surgery. The nimesulide is an NSAID which inhibits inflammation, but also inhibits platelet fxn leading to risk of increased bleeding. I usually recommend no NSAID for 7 days preop, but surgeons preferences vary.

At your usual dose: Narcotic, Acetaminophen and a cox-2 inhibitor is a common pre operative regimen and can usually be taken at your usual dose.

Yes: It is safe for you to take your usual dose of this medication before surgery. If you take it in the am before surgery just take it with a sip or two of water. Make sure you let your physicians know what you took and when.
