I am severely weak and my heart goes up to 140 bpm. could paxil (paroxetine) be causing this? i can't function.

I don't think so: Paxil (paroxetine) should not cause rapid heart rate in general. I think there is another reason. See your doctor soon to be checked for hyperthyoidism, anemia , anxiety, cardiac arrythmias.

Possibly: It is possible Paxil (paroxetine) is causing this and you should definitely call your doctor. This is not typical so there may be other reasons. Your doctor can help sort this out. Remember, stopping Paxil (paroxetine) too quickly can lead to withdrawal symptoms which can be quite weird and unpleasant though not dangerous.
