Should heal: This may be small cuts, abrasions, or irritations, most likely from some food you ate. Should heal quickly, in a couple of days. If this does not heal then get checked by a dentist.

While fissured tongue is usually normal variation of tongue architecture, it may be associated with irritations or medications. It is best to see a dentist if your wounds persists more than 2 weeks.
