Can too many blows to the head during sports cause depressive disorder and not being able to think straight?

Yes.: Blows to the head can cause concussions or closed head injuries. Cumulative trauma to the brain over time can cause memory impairment, personality changes and mood fluctuations. They can also cause dementia later. It is best to always wear a helmet and avoid contact to the head as much as possible.
