A member asked:

My neutrophils count is elevated and lymphocytes count is reduced. is this related to stress? is this sign of cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably meaningless: Percentages mean nothing apart from absolute numbers, and these fluctuate wildly, even fairly far from the "reference range" (which you shouldn't confuse with the "healthy range" -- it's arbitrarily set so that several percent of healthies fall outside at either end). I can raise my absolute neutrophil count to maybe 20, 000 by swimming for half an hour in cold water.
