Risk and benefits: Like all drugs, Clomid (clomiphene) has its pros and cons. It is very helpful for women with irregular cycles and inexpensive. On the negative side, it will increase the risk of multiple births, has a number of annoying side effects, is less effective than injectable drugs and there is a possibility that using it (particularly long term) may increase the risk of ovarian cancer.
