Take as prescribed: Taking more than prescribed can increase risks of stomach upset to include ulcers, gastritis, reflux, rectal bleeding. At higher doses, nsaids such as voltaren have been shown to increase cardiovascular events such as heart attack, stroke, etc. Blood pressure can also elevate at higher doses. As well, do not take additional Ibuprofen or aleve (naproxen) over the counter, as they are in the same class.

Possible organ damag: Taking extra voltaren (diclofenac) on a routine basis may cause liver or kidney disease it could also cause abdominal pain or bleeding. On a short term basis nothing may happen but you should not take more than the prescribed dose for any period of time.
