A member asked:

What are the "rituximab" side effects when treating ttp conditions? does it worth it?

Risk/benefit: Rituximab has many potential side effects, some of them serious or life threatening: sever allergic reaction, heart arrythmia, profound immunosuppression, reactivation of dormant viruses and skin and lung reactions, to name a few. Deciding whether treatment is worth it is a decision that can only be made by someone who knows the complete medical picture. A formal second opinion can be helpful.

No different: No different than for other diseases. Ttp is life threatening and the treatment usually works.
