Risk/benefit: Rituximab has many potential side effects, some of them serious or life threatening: sever allergic reaction, heart arrythmia, profound immunosuppression, reactivation of dormant viruses and skin and lung reactions, to name a few. Deciding whether treatment is worth it is a decision that can only be made by someone who knows the complete medical picture. A formal second opinion can be helpful.
