Could i have bipolar disorder without the extreme actions during a manic episode? i have all the symptoms except for that. i don't know what's wrong.

Yes, you can: Bipolar ii disorder does not have extreme mania like bipolar i does. Instead it has depressions and hypomanic episodes -- times of increased energy and less need for sleep, but less intense than full mania. Usually there is no psychosis either, but there is still mood instability. Please see a psychiatrist for a complete evaluation and treatment recommendations.

Bipolar Disorder: Hi butterfly, there is a type of bipolar disorder called bipolar ii where there is depression and hypomania. It does not have the full mania aspect of the disorder. I would suggest consulting a mental health professional. Bipolar disorder can be well controlled with medication.
