Safety: There is no specific warning for zoloft (sertraline) in regards to patients with coronary disease. I am not aware of any head to head comparison of zoloft (sertraline) to other ssri/snri's specifically in cardiac patients to be able to state which is the "safest". In general, it is best to treat depression in pts with heart disease. Post-marketing data on zoloft (sertraline) suggests that it is safe to use in pts with coronary disease.
