Pancreatitis?: It's hard to know exactly without seeing the scan, but these findings may be seen in pancreatitis, or inflammation of the pancreas.

Likely Pancreatitis: Inflammation of the pancreas (pancreatitis) could produce the findings you describe. Important that you be followed after you recover to make sure there is resolution of any focal findings like that area of hypodensity to rule out a small tumor.
