Hormone imbalance: Not necessarily hashimoto's thyroiditis which is cause of hypothyroidism. This usually results in increase bleeding and heavier periods. Should not affect thickness of uterus. Excess estrogen and relatively low Progesterone can lead to this which happens when women skip periods or could be fibroids. Discuss further with your dr.
