Most likely: Discharge changes with your cycle, whether or not you are having sex, even what you are eating. As long as you don't have any symptoms (itch, pain, weird smell, etc), don't worry about it. If you think you could have been exposed to a sexually transmitted infection, then you might want to go see someone to be checked out just to be sure, but you'd probably want to do this one way or another.

Yes it can be: Vaginal discharge often changes color and consistency throughout the menstrual cycle. For example, near ovulation it tends to become stringy and sticky which allows sperm to more easily reach the egg. Changes in vaginal acidity can affect discharge qualities. If your discharge causes no symptoms or smells bad then likely it's okay. If you have a new sex partner however, you should get tested.
